Colin Mee - Lead Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar & Drums
 
Colin from Teesside has been associated with the Rockabilly scene for over 30 years. His first major role in a band was as drummer with North East rockabilly legends The Sure Shots. In 1987 he started his own rockabilly trio The Skip Rats with Joe Guillan and Mickie Downey whom still gig from time to time. In 2005 he met (his now wife) Mandy Stroud who had been playing double bass with hillbilly trio The Smokey Mountain Boys. In August of 2005 they both formed their own hillbilly trio Root'n Toot'n with whom they still actively perform with today around the UK country music circuit.
The MEE Kats was formed in 2010 because of Col & Mandy's love of rockabilly music and long may it continue.
 
 
Mandy Mee - Double Bass
 
Mandy hails from Leicester where she took up playing double bass around 1995. She started out playing with a rockabilly trio based in London before moving onto The Smokey Mountain Boys and Country Cattin'. In 2005 she met Colin Mee (now husband) moved North and formed hillbilly trio Root'n Toot'n. In 2010 Mandy & Col formed The MEE Kats.
Joe Guillan - Lead Guitar
 
Joe, from North Shields has been a very acomplished guitar picker for many decades. He has played with almost every North East roots combo you could name. He is still very active with the Sure Shots and The Skip Rats and also tours frequently with Martin Stephenson. Joe in his time has backed most original 1950's rockabilly artists around the world.
